Yes, you read that right (or wrong, depending on how efficiently your brain corrects what it sees as it sees it):  “There’s two”–one of the mistakes Stephen Wilbers (“Effective Writing”) plants in his explanation of when to use plural or singular verbs, and other often perplexing rules of grammar.  Not all of which all of you will agree with, he concedes, since he goes by The Gregg Reference Manual.
